Help to beat brain tumours.

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. When I started this even my sister Joan was the first person to contribute to this shine page. During the Shine walk Joan supported me with motivational texts. She was thrilled with the event and seeing the sights of London (via my phone) and the whole idea of the event really made her excited. Sadly Joan passed away on 3rd October 2015 - I am glad we were able to spend quality time together in this event. Please help to reach the goal. Thank you.

Meanwhile another close member of my family has a brain tumour,  I have worked as a health care assistant with people that have had this illness. The extremes and differences in each person has been heart breaking. When I researched how I could help I found that this tumour seems to be the least represented. The research and money put into it is a drop in the ocean in comparison to the other projects that get high profile attention and donations. Please help to bring the donations up in line with the others.

Each year in the UK, over 9,400 people, including around 400 children, are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. But they can be hard to treat and around 5,000 people in the UK lose their lives to the disease every year. This is why Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work must continue.
