Story
This year marks 10 years since I was diagnosed (and now cured!) of cancer. When I was diagnosed with leukaemia (AML), the doctors told me I was going to lose my hair due to the chemotherapy, so before that happened, I decided to shave it and do a fundraiser for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Now 10 years later, it feels right to do the same! So over the course of the next few months, I'll be raising money again for Teenage Cancer Trust, and then in early 2021 I'll again shave my head for TCT (I hope I don't look like an alien as much as I did back then haha).
I found it hard to write about my experiences and everything I learnt in one place, so over the course of the next few months I'll be sharing my experiences with you over socials. So if you're interested, be sure to connect with me there! (links to all of them below).
In hindsight, I am truly grateful to everything the experience taught me, the people which it brought to me, and the outlook it has given me. Who would've thought cancer would be the reason for that?
Please leave a generous donation to TCT! They were instrumental in saving my life, as well as the lives of so many other teenagers every year.
With gratitude, Yaajan
