Last year a small team of parents and staff entered the Crystal Palace Triathlon to get fit and raise some money for the school in the process. The response from the school community was amazing, raising enough to buy much needed gym equipment from which all the pupils have benefited. But that wasn't the best thing about the event; on the day we were overwhelmed with support from Worsley Bridge families who came to cheer on their school.

It's not surprising that the team has grown for this year's event, and we hope it will keep doing so. There are even some Worsley Bridge pupils entering the junior event for the first time. Introducing the 2017 team:

Staff:   Mrs Williams, Mrs Palmer, Mr Lam, Mr Smith

Parents: Atholl Milton (Joshua's dad), Hugo Smuts (Damien's dad), Lynne Eve (Oscar's mum), Emma Vickers (Robert and Dora 's mum), Alice and Peter Wood (parents of Wilf, Lily and Tom), and Melissa Niblett (Archer, Hugh and Harry's mum)

Pupils: Robert Vickers (3W), Lily Wood (6W), Wilf Wood (4W), Tom Wood, Hugh and Harry Niblett (Alumni!)

Introducing the course: Swim, bike, run! The race starts in Crystal Palace National Sports Centre with a 750m swim (15 lengths of the pool), followed by a 20km cycle (that's nine times up the hill in the park!), finishing with a 5km run.

Come and cheer us on! The race takes place on Sunday May 14th. We will share our start times when we receive them (usually a couple of days before the race). Bring a picnic, pitch up and holler whenever you see someone in Worsley Bridge running vest whizz by!
