Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the13th of October 2018 I will be spending 24hrs in a cage in a remote wood for Animals Asia's Unbearable Challenge.
The cage will be placed in a remote wood covered only on the top by a waterproof sheet.
My only contact with the outside world will be from receiving some food at set times and also when I go live on FB and Twitter throughout the 24hrs so people can see my progress.
I will also will also post regular updates on Twitter and FB and here. I may get the odd visitor but that will be for a limited set time and only for photographs. That is it, no other contact will be made with me though I expect the odd wildlife visitor! Going to the loo could prove quite interesting too!
My aim is to raise money and also to hi-light the work that Animals Asia do in rescuing moon bears and dogs from cages where they spend their lives. I also hope to hi-light that there are many other animals around the world who also spend their lives in captivity needlessly. Last year I did this challenge in an agricultural building and was emotionally drained by the end of the 24hrs. This year I wanted a different spin on the challenge. A cage looking out on freedom.
I cannot imagine the suffering these animals go through. My challenge will be tough both physically and mentally but I am determined to see it through to the end. I will have luxuries that the animals do not have or example blankets and my wife will bring me food (I hope)! Most of all I will going into the cage knowing I will be able to leave after 24hrs. Animals in captivity around the world do not have such luxury.
So please support me either by donating or by spreading the word about what I am doing.
With much love and thanks
Heather
