Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Thanks to Proc we have all been crazy enough to agree to take part in The Wolf Run!

Some of us are used to running, some of us haven't run since school. Training has started badly - we have a strained calf, a bad foot and gammy knees! However, we are all determined to complete the course as a Pack and are hoping to raise a decent donation for our chosen charity.

We have decided to raise money for the Alzeihmers Society as it is our chosen charity for the year.

Did you know that...

·         there are currently 800,00 people with dementia in the UK of which over 17,000 are younger people

·         Two thirds of people with dementia are women.

·         The financial cost of dementia to the UK will be over £23 billion in 2012

·         80% of people living in care homes have a form of dementia

·          Only 44% of people with dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland receive a diagnosis.

Any donation you are able to make would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures will be provided upon completion although I can’t promise we will be standing for them J
