When disaster strikes, the supply of safe drinking water is often destroyed. Last year hurricanes hit the Bahamas, leaving the population without clean water. Aquabox sent aid boxes containing manually powered water purification equipment to the stricken region to help families and communities to have the water they needed while safe supplies were being restored.

Aquabox is a Wirksworth charity with a worldwide reach. Its produces simple but very effective equipment to purify water used by people in emergency situations, happening naturally or through human intervention.

More than 70 local volunteers assemble the equipment and pack it into aid boxes ready to be shipped to where they are needed. But Aquabox needs to purchase the items going into the boxes: it has volunteers but it is short of cash to purchase the equipment going into the boxes. Cash is the limiting factor on its operation.

The Aquabox aid boxes are tailored to support family groups and include items to help with shelter, lighting, cooking, feeding and hygiene as well as for education.

In 2019, Aquabox sent several thousand aid boxes to disaster areas across the globe. Its support for afflicted areas requires our help. Please help me achieve my target.
