I wanted to do something different to mark my 25th year working at Willingham Woods in Market Rasen and also, this year marks the 15th Anniversary since I started opening late on Wednesday's which have now become known as  'Bike Nights'. 

Willingham Woods has always supported the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance every year through charity boxes and donations so we wanted to continue our support to them whilst doing this event.

 It has landed several times at Willingham Woods in the past for a range of emergencies and fundraising is their lifeline and they could be the lifeline to anyone of us! To operate this life saving service, each mission costs over £2000 and they fly at least 3 per day, every day. So, our help is crucial in helping to raise £1.9M every year.

So with the support of 3 others, Dean (my husband), Mark & Angela we have decided to ride C2C on our road bikes.

Our route starts from St Bees via Whitehaven Keswick, Kirkby Stephen, Northallerton & finally finishing at Robin Hoods Bay.

 We will dip our back wheels in the Irish Sea at St Bees and, at the end, in the North Sea at Robin Hood's Bay covering a minimum of 170 miles  - maybe more if I'm map reading!
The boys are no strangers to events competing in Ironmans, Cyclocross & Sportives.  The girls .... well we have done a couple of 10k’s & a sprint triathlon between us but we have the dynamic determination to finish!
