It was with deep sadness that we had to write to parents to inform them of the death of our Year 4 teacher, Mrs Christine King on July 21st 2016 following a sudden, painful and mercifully short battle with a brain tumour.  All of us at Willesborough Junior School not only grieve at the passing of a well-respected and popular colleague but also for the loss her family suffers at this time.

Mrs King has been teaching with us since 1^st  September 2013 and will be missed for her kindness and care for each and every child in her class, present and past. Her support for her teaching colleagues as an art subject leader and a class teacher has been greatly valued. We will miss Mrs King for her sense of humour and spirit in the classroom and the staff room.

Following her death, Mrs King’s family expressed their wish that donations be made to the Pilgrims’ Hospice and in honour of this request we are making the hospice our school charity this academic year.  We will be asking children to take part in a sponsored walk later this term and hope that you will support us with this.
