Story
Hello!
Thanks for visiting my Justgiving page!
Update 18/04/11
So I finished the marathon in 4.02 which was a bit disappointing.
All was going worryingly well til 19 miles and then I really slowed down. The last 6 miles were the toughest thing I have done for a long time. Mental struggles a voice saying STOP NOW, my legs cramping up making it impossible to actually run!
I am really proud to have not walked and for much of the run it was a wonderful, freeing, moving and exciting thing to do.
The sun shone and so many people on personal journeys raising money for their charities.
Today I feel sick, my toenails have gone black and I walk like a penguin but it was worth it.
Thank you for all your support and if you haven't sponsored my run it ain't too late! X
Update 14/04/11
To all of you who have sponsored me thank you so so much for your support and giving young people the chance to have a fair opportunity to make the most out of their life xx
Update! 8/04/11 I have added new photos and a video please take a look :-)
I am very excited/nervous about running the marathon for Catch22. With each painful mile I stumble along in my training I think of the potential money and profile I am raising for a charity that is very close to my heart. If I make £40,000 this year, I will do it in a mankini next year!
Please take some time to learn a little about Catch22 and feel free to donate! :-)
Catch22 work in over 150 towns and cities, working with 37,000 young people each year who may be homeless, in care, unemployed, struggling at school or fallen into crime.
Catch22 programmes help to develop their confidence and skills to grasp solutions that are right for them; from getting back into school or into training, choosing to stay out of crime, finding a safe place to live and helping them with the skills needed to live independently after leaving care.
Catch22 believe in the potential of every young person, given the chance.
They also encourage young people to give something back to their local communities.
