Brecon Beacon Challenge: 9th June – 12th June 2017
In June of this year, 15 of my friends and I (plus some of our parents – yes, Daddy is coming too!) will be taking on the full range of the Brecon Beacons, walking about 40 miles from start to finish over three days. We will be carrying heavy rucksacks containing our tents plus all our equipment and food for the three days. Two of the three nights will be spent camping, one of which will be a wild campsite in the mountains. It will be a massive challenge for me but definitely much more so for Daddy!
‘The Elifar Foundation’
Our main objective is raising as much money as possible for the ‘The Elifar Foundation’ (Every Life Is For A Reason). This is a tiny but very special charity which aims to make a real, practical difference by providing life-changing equipment to profoundly disabled children. The charity funds the purchase of a wide range of highly specialised equipment, which would otherwise be unavailable because of a lack of funds. The Elifar Foundation is run almost entirely by volunteers which means that nearly all of the funds raised go directly to the children who need them. Also, being a small charity, the money we raise will make a massive difference.
