In late August 2021, our Dad, Shaun, was sadly diagnosed with late stage sarcomatoid mesothelioma (a form of lung cancer) as a result of likely exposure to asbestos as a young man (c.40 years ago). Sadly, he passed away in February 2022 at home peacefully and pain free with us and the rest of the family by his side.
In honour of Dad, we want to help the organisations, such as Mesothelioma UK (more details of the charity below), in supporting and educating other individuals and families throughout this journey.
As such, during 2023, Dom and I are taking part in the Camino Ultra: London Epping Forest Ultra (50km) on 7 October 2023.
If you are able to donate any amount, it would be highly appreciated and will go a long way to supporting this charity, and provide Dom and I the added motivation to complete these events.
PwC, my employer, provide matched funding through the PwC Foundation for every employee up to £250 per financial year, so it would be great to obtain this additional funding for the charity.
