Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
My son, Isaac (10), and I are running this 5k inflatable course on behalf of The Friends of Wisdom Hospice. This incredible organisation has a fundraising target of £2500 per day!
The event is at Brands Hatch, on 31 July 2021
The Wisdom Hospice looks after people in their greatest time of need - we wanted to help raise awareness and bring in whatever funds we can.
Those who know me are aware I'm not the fittest person so this will be quite a challenge for me. Equally, as a very busy managing director of a business, I've been looking to find more unique and fun ways to spend time with my son - when I found this I knew it would be a fantastic opportunity for us to have fun and raise money for an amazing cause.
Wildwood Media has been proud to support The Friends of Wisdom Hospice before, and with this we hope to make a real difference. The team at Wildwood Media and all in our network are looking forward to seeing Chris get rather out of breath and tumbling around on a giant inflatable course!
So how can you help and what difference will it make? Any money can make a difference, here is just an example:
• £5 - could help fund a hospice patient’s meals for 24 hours
• £25 - could help fund an hour of care delivered by a one of our hospice specialist palliative care nurses
• £50 - could help fund a counselling session for a patient or their loved one supporting them through a challenging time
• £125 - could help fund a community nurse for a day. Did you know the community team support up to 400 patients in their own homes each and every day?
Just £5 from you towards our target would mean the world to not just the Hospice, but to Isaac and I as well.
Thank you for reading this and your support
Regards
Chris Newberry
