Story
Graham(our current Chairman) proposed this charity as it is a charity close to his heart. He has a teenage son who is autistic and organisations like Autism Hampshire are vital, not only to the person with autism but to the families to give them guidance and support. He believes that we have to make Society more aware, more inclusive and more interactive for people with Autism and this can only be achieved by supporting organisations like Autism Hampshire. The whole committee is fully behind Graham in this tremendously worthwhile cause.
A little bit about Autism Hampshire: Autism Hampshire was founded by the late Mr and Mrs Philip White MBE and a group of local parents with autistic children in Southampton from the late 1960s. See Autism Hampshire: A History for more important events in the history of the charity.
Over the years, the charity has developed and delivers high quality services that meet the diverse needs of autistic people in Hampshire and the surrounding area. We provide autism-focused Training, Domiciliary Care, Supported Living services, Mentoring and an Information, Advice and Guidance Team that responds to an average of 12,000 requests for help each year.
As a Centre we would love to raise as much money as possible for this inspiring charity associated with a condition that will impact many of us directly or indirectly. If you can afford to please donate to this worthwhile cause.
Thank you in advance for your support.
