As some of you may or may not know, at the start of this year my Mother was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, a very rare type of bile duct cancer. This has been a very difficult year for myself and my family. After finding out she was not eligible for surgery, negotiating our way through minefield that is the current state of the NHS and having to watch her go through the difficulties of chemotherapy, I have decided to try and raise some money for Cancer Research UK. 

As many of you know, I’m not the biggest runner (by that I mean I never run). So why I have decided to run 10 miles in the Great South Run is still not clear even to myself. None the less, even if I have to walk it, Im going to give it a go! 

Any donations to my cause, be it financially on my just giving page, mocking on the day or advice on just how you even run 10 miles with less than a month to train, would be greatly appreciated!
