Story

THANK YOU for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  Me, Anna and My Bro Rob are taking the plunge.. literally!!... donning our wet-suits and snazzy swim caps along with 10,000 others to swim the mile across open water... So think of us in the freezing cold... clear blue waters... :o) Why?? To raise as much money as we can for an amazing little boy called Callum for his physio and Post-op equipment... (Check out www.greatswim.org for more info and free swim vouchers... get the kids swimming!)  We know its not the best time to ask for sponsorship but please dig deep - even a couple of pounds will all help!

About Callum Branch

Callum is 7 years old and has cerebral palsy. Callum had a tough start to life, he was born 14 weeks premature and was very lucky to have survived his first night. He proved us and the doctors all wrong and pulled through and after spending 11 weeks in hospital he was allowed to come home.

Callum is such a bright and happy boy the only thing that stops him from leading a normal life is his legs and the fact that he's in a wheelchair. Callum has been accepted to have an operation in the St Louis Children's Hospital in America, called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy. The operation has a really good success rate and we have been advised by the surgeon in America that his sitting, standing, walking and level of comfort will improve and with a lot of hard work on Callum's part he could have a chance to walk independently, this would be a life changing operation for him
