Beacon Centre for the Blind was established over 145 years ago with a purpose of supporting people with sight loss to live fuller, more independent lives. Covering the Black Country & Staffordshire our activity centres host well-being activities & programmes, talking news & employment opportunities.

Story

Wolves Mascot Wendy is taking part in this years Blind Drive, in support of Beacon Centre for the Blind and St John Ambulance. Wendy is aiming to prove that women drivers are the best drivers, even when blindfolded! The Blind Drive 2010 is being held at RAF Cosford on Sunday 1st August, Wendy and many other volunteers will be driving dual controlled cars around a course designed by RAF Cosford, blindfolded with a qualified driving instructor from BSM. If you would like to take part in this event you can do so by calling 01902 880 111 or by going to www.beacon4blind.co.uk and downloading a registration form. Registration is £5 and you must raise a minimum of £50 or £25 for children aged 10-16. Alternativly sponsor Wendy by using this page!
