Story
What we are doing and why?
Hepzibah is a 16 year old girl who lives at New Hope Centre, a home for orphaned and abandoned children in the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly, Swaziland) Africa, where Wendy volunteered for 18 months. Hepzibah works hard at school, is talented in creative writing, and her dream is to either become a commercial pilot or flight attendant.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Hepzibah has just found out that she requires extensive dental treatment to fix her teeth ie spacing, biting, and wearing a brace for 18 months. The treatment will cost approx. £500–£600, and the dentist has generously accepted to start the work prior to receiving the funds, due to the urgency of the situation.
To enable Hepzibah to continue with her treatment, Wendy, Bethany, Beth, and Mary have decided on Sun 25 September to visit as many London attractions as we can in four hours by public transport.
To be a part of this fun adventure and have a laugh at our expense, we will be dressing up as The Incredibles Family and will have our photo taken at each London attraction we visit. The photo will be posted on this page afterwards, as well as how Hepzibah’s dental treatment is progressing.
Any additional funds raised will go towards her schooling and basic needs ie food, clothing etc.
Thank you for supporting Hepzibah.
