Thanks for taking the time to visit Wayne's 2018 Longest Day Golf Challenge (72 Holes) JustGiving page.  The challenge is taking place at 1562 Links in Montrose on Thursday 21st June 2018.

Wayne Henderson is managing Director of Kaizah.  Kaizah is a business improvement consulting firm that partners with companies to transform business performance.

Wayne is fund raising for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland a wholly Scottish charity which supports individuals across every single community in Scotland including the local Angus Region where this challenge is taking place. Their work has never been so crucial with right now over a half a million people (and rising) needing their help getting their lives back on track after surviving life changing illness.

1 in 5 people are affected every day and within this one day:
· 25 people will have a stroke
· 30 people will have a heart attack
· 46 people will be diagnosed with heart failure
· 1 in 11 people will struggle to breathe because of chronic chest illness
· Did you know 40% of adult deaths in Scotland are caused by chest, heart and stroke conditions?

The charities new vision is that these people have access and a right to the highest standard of treatment and support to ensure they can live their life to the fullest so they have the best chance of getting their life back on track - survival may be vital but getting our life back really is the goal. 

It is all too much of a reality that we know someone affected by chest, heart and stroke illness with the conditions touching so many lives; it could be a friend, neighbour, family member, colleague or indeed yourself and your sponsorship of this challenge truly would help the charity continue to make a very real & positive difference to lives. By 2021 the charity will reach their new vision of No Life Half Lived - ensuring they reach every single person in Scotland including this local North East Community and you can help me part of the reason they can take one more step towards this. Every £20 raised will help Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland be able to provide one more hour of nursing or rehabilitation care or indeed advice to an individual you may even know well.
