The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah said: ‘Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.’” 

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5073; Muslim, 993. 

“Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds”

[Hood 11:114].

“...(Allaah) will expiate you some of your sins. And Allaah is Well-Acquainted with what you do”

[al-Baqarah 2:271].

Ibn Jareer said: “will expiate you some of your sins” means: Allah will expiate your sins by virtue of your charity."

So do not worry about what you have given, it is written with Allāh,!

Do not hold back when you give, especially in the month of Ramadhān, like Aaishah (رضي الله عنها) and the other Sahābah used to say: 

There is no one more generous than Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ), and he was never more generous than he was in the month of Ramadhān. 

So when you give then do not think that you are doing a favour to others, rather you are doing a favour to yourself and you are saving yourself from the Fire.
