Story

Thank you for taking time to visit my page. I am raising money for our good friends. Please read Macsen`s story below. We have re-schedule the ride due to my sickness/illness and it will not be on Sunday 29th June.

Macsen Williams is an amazing 2 year old. He was born with Cerebral Palsy, has Cortical Visual Impairment, epilepsy as well as other conditions. Your donations will be used to purchase Macsen specialist every day living and physiotherapy equipment which will make his life easier and allow him to reach his full potential.

His Cerebral Palsy means that he is unable to stand or sit unaided, he can't walk, roll pick things up or talk. His parents have to do everything for him, which is very demanding and in order to do these things numerous specialist equipment is required.

Macsen's parents perform exercises and stretches on Macsen's limbs throughout the day to loosen them and help ease his discomfort. Macsen sees an amazing NHS physio therapist once a week who uses specialist equipment and techniques to develop Macsen and ease his problems. He really responds well to this therapy, but would benefit from using these tools throughout the week.

His Cortical Visual Impairment means that his brain has difficulty processing images. Over the last year Macsen has developed his vision significantly. This has been done using looking techniques, simple toys and using his ensory room and specialist lighting equipment. Macsen's health professionals have advised that the more he is stimulated at an early age the more his vision will develop.

Macsen's additional physical needs means that everyday items such as tables, chairs and toys are unsuitable. Macsen sees an amazing therapy team who have recommended that Macsen has this specialist seat, but due to budget cuts they are unable to fund it. Your donations will go directly toward funding the specialist chair. With the right physical support Macsen is able to improve control of his limbs and eyes.

You will be helping Macsen to get the best start in life possible to help him to reach his potential.
