Story
The ride is now Cancelled for 2020 - Covid19 fallout. So sorry. Thanks for all the donations. Please watch this space for updates about when and to-where we will cycle to earn the fundraising.
You will know that I love to cycle. This year I am
gearing up for my longest ride yet by cycling the 291km/181miles from London to Paris.
But you probably don’t know that three members of my family are only alive today because they were donated kidneys by others. One person dies almost every day in the UK waiting for a kidney transplant, with more than 5,000 on the NHS waiting list right now. Give a Kidney helps more people get the life-saving transplants they need.
Riding from London to Paris gives me a chance to raise at least £2,000 for this fantastic charity and give back to a cause that is so important to me and my family. Along with my colleague Alistair Dunsdon, I will be training throughout the spring and summer ahead of the three-day long ride in July 2020. We plan to cycle more than 500 miles and complete at least 3 local cycling challenges in preparation for this event.
Every little you can spare – even just £3 instead of your afternoon coffee or £5 instead of that extra pint on a Friday night – would make a big difference. £2,000 is an ambitious target but I know that, with your help, we can achieve it and help people across the country. A big merci beaucoup!
