Our little man Will Freeman (5.5yrs) collapsed on the 27th December at 10.30am ... he had a brain tumour and we didn't even have a clue!!!! he'd had it for 3 years, growing slowly, unnoticable and undetected until that fateful day. A silent killer and it nearly took him away from us.
Thanks to the wonderful, out of this world team of people (angels/miracle workers/superheros) at the RVI - Great North Childrens Hospital (GNCH) we still have our little boy. We were in the care of Ward 1B for 22 of our 24 nights stay. Were we received out of this world care and attention, mixed with friendship and compassion.
Our little boy fought through x2 operations and weeks of recovery without a complaint. His bravey will inspire us all forever.
It's because of this that our family wish to give something back- The Catalidi's - Danielle (Dan) & Salvatore (Reno), The Williams - Rebecca (Bex) & David (Dave), The Freeman's - daddy Richard (Riki) & mummy Charlotte Freeman (Charlie) and not to forget our friend Andrew Fishburn (Andy) please support us to meet our goal and support a wonderful children's hospital!!!
We hope to rise to the challenge, in the same spirit our little man did when he faced his recent fate. I hope you'll never have to face what we've been through but the money we'll raise will be going to Ward 1B of the RVI GNCH. To hopefully buy the much needed resources for Parents and Children who will have to expereince their care for one reason or another. To help make their stay a little more comfortable and provide small bits of comfort when they like us, could be going through the worst possible time of their lives.
