Story
There are two men who have been there from the start and put years (8 years) into making this vision of a hockey centre come through numerous hurdles. Their commitment, dedication, persistency and hard work have brought us to this point where we now have our hockey centre in sight and only a few weeks away from being our reality. Soon we will all take it as our norm and perhaps take it all for granted.
Ian Roberts of RGS, has already been commemorated with a slab to be placed at the centre expressing their gratitude. I would like WHC to do the same for own Andy “Muddy” Waters. So if you are in anyway as grateful as I am for having this amazing hockey centre, can I encourage you to show your support for Muddy and acknowledge his efforts by donating towards a brick fund for this final slab to commemorate and honour him.
Muddy is self -employed as he runs his own business, so all the hours he has poured into this over the years will have been at his own personal and his business’s cost. It has been an incredible self-sacrifice for the benefit of us all in this club. I am sure the number of contributors showing their appreciation will be as valuable as the amount of the donations that will go towards funding our share of the cost, so even if you can only give the smallest of amounts, can I encourage you to donate even that and show you appreciate him.
So can I encourage all of you who want to show their support and appreciation perhaps contribute say just £5 per person - when Muddy sees how many of us back him I'm hoping he will feel all his efforts have been so very much appreciated.
Thank-you
