I've long been passionate about the impact of our rapidly developing world on the environment that sustains our very living.  I have seen the impact in Canada and am sure we all have our own experiences of where the consequences of development have affected much loved places.  I've recently discovered an opportunity to invest some of my time in raising funds to actually do something about it.  10 of us have come together and are going to Sri Lanka, a world bio diversity hot spot and one of the 25 most ecologically important places in the world.  We are spending 7 days cycling starting February 21st, going from Kandy to Galle. 

It's going to be a long hard cycle through very remote areas with heat and humidity adding to the degree of difficulty.  I hope I make it, especially considering I haven't had much time to train!  However I have been given some great survival tips.  Thank you!
