Story

We are fundraising in support of the Red Cross’s We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, which has raised £2m in just 24 hours. Vodafone has a longstanding, deep-rooted history in Manchester. It is home to our Northern Hub in Wythenshawe, where around 1,000 colleagues are based, and to our two flagship retail stores in the city centre, where we serve customers every day as part of the local community.

Following the attacks at Manchester Arena, our employees and customers wanted to express our support, sympathy and solidarity with the victims, their families and the city by fundraising to support the Red Cross appeal.

To donate, please text the JustTextGiving code VWLM50 and the amount (£1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10) to 70070 or click the “Donate” button on this page.

The Vodafone Foundation, a UK registered charity (no. 1089625), has pledged to match the first £100,000 donated in the two weeks following the launch of this appeal. 100% of donations made on this page, together with all of the matched funding from the Vodafone Foundation, will be paid in full to the Red Cross appeal.

The money raised will be used to assist the victims of the attack, their families and dependants. In the event that the Red Cross raises more money than can be reasonably and efficiently spent, surplus funds will be used in other UK emergency situations that charity trustees consider appropriate.
