Story
I'm embarking on this three day journey to the White Mountains as part of the Timmerman Traverse because I feel strongly that our neighbors shouldn't have to go without basic needs and access to opportunity. On a personal note, I "grew up" academically in the Boston area, and want to give back to both this community as well as others like Philadelphia and the Bay Area, where I believe the life sciences industry can and should do more to help those around us.
Life Science Cares is a fantastic organization that has done a great job channeling resources and expertise across the life sciences industry towards social impact work. The organization provides grants to community nonprofits that are implementing research-driven solutions in the areas of survival, education, and economic sustainability -- and then supercharges these grants with volunteer hours, donated goods, strategic support, and advocacy.
Thanks so much for your support!
