Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have set up this page in memory of my brother Mark, who died of a heart attack on Saturday 23 January 2010 aged 47.
I have chosen this charity as it is very close to my family's heart. My cousin Peter (pictured above with Mark) has been battling this illness for many years.
Peter was first diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2002. He went on to have a bone marrow transplant and was diagnosed with donor derived Leukaemia in 2006. His courage in the manner he has faced this illness has been an inspiration to all our family, and Mark was particularly proud of him.
Of the 4 cousins (Peter, his brother David, Mark & I), Peter was always the funniest, liveliest and most upbeat and he has continued to show this facet of his character throughout his illness. Whether it was a funny face or Donald Duck impression, he always has a smile on his face. I would also like to mention Laetitia, Peter's wife, who has also shown tremendous courage in supporting Peter throughout this long and difficult time.
Thankfully, Peter is in good health and I am sure that Mark will be raising a glass of JD to him as he watches over us.
Peter, you are an inspiration to us all.
Mark, you were the best big brother anyone could ever ask for. You will always be in my heart and memory.
