Thank you for swinging by my page as I attempt to raise funds for Mind by running 225 miles! I hasten to add I am not...repeat NOT doing this is in one go..
That would be crazy!I am struggling with CFS so pretty much would be impossible i'm struggling with my energy levels, aching limbs etc hence why its going to be a challenge.I'm too young to die and though that might be an exaggeration I may never walk again if I attempted that far in one sitting (um run)Just to repeat that would be crazy! Why 225miles? well I work for Whsmith and this year it's their 225th Anniversary...so it seemed an appropriate number..they've picked 3 charities to support and I've then picked one of those charities to raise funds for.Why Mind? Because it was one of the charities and they seem to be pretty fabulous. Plus I think most of us can say we know someone with a mental health problem (or may have one ourselves) and if we needed advice where could we go? Many Doctors i've dealt with for one thing or another either don't have time to help or simply send you on the never ending loop of one test after another..or hand over pills (one pill does not fix all!) Mind can help and support you or at least advise you on what you can do, where you can do etc.. For more information as it'll fill you in far better than I can http://www.mind.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do/
So there you go... tomorrow it starts...225miles... on the 30th April i'll be taking part in the Birmingham 10k... in October Birmingham Half marathon...maybe i'll throw in some more events along the way...
So thank you very bally much for any donation you feel you can give... I and Mind really appreciate it... you're flipping fabulous!
Big huge cuddles from me!!!
