Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In October last year, my friends nephew, Henry (age 3) contracted Cryptosporidium from an unknown source. He became very poorly and unfortunately developed 2 types of Ecoli. From this he then developed HUS (Hempolytic-Uremic Syndrome), which meant his kidneys started to fail and he slipped in to a coma.

After 6 weeks, Henry  came out of the coma, but the drastic effects of the HUS meant he had sustained brain damage.

Henry is now under the care of The Children's Trust until his parents are able to take him home. The trust provide rehabilitation, therapy and care for children at their specialist centre in Tadworth, and support families throughout the UK.

In September, myself and 25 others (friends and family of Henry and his Aunt/Uncle), are doing the Dawlish Triathlon to raise money for the Children's Trust.

This was and still is a heartbreaking and confusing time for his family, and any donation big or small to help the amazing on going work of the Trust will be greatly appreciated.

Just so you know, the swim, is a sea swim!! brrrrr!

Thanks for donating :)
