Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you will know, I'm one of the most exercise hating people you're likely to meet. From forging excuse notes in P.E to Netflix sofa sessions, I've spent the last 26 years trying to do better and ultimately failing after a few months.
On April 24th 2016 I will be running the London Marathon with my Mum, this will not only be a huge personal achievement, but I'm also hoping, with your support, that we can make a real difference to a lot of lives at the same time.
With NEPTanzania being a charity born from our family, I am passionate enough to actually keep going with something for a change. Having been a beginner runner earlier this year, I will continue to push myself and count the miles, with multiple races along the way. To put things in perspective as I go... in March I literally could not run for 60 seconds.
Every pound raised goes directly to the sweetest kids on earth.
They are the happiest children but with your help we can offer more of them a childhood like you or I would expect.
My goal is to raise £1500 which will buy and build a play area in a township called Loliondo, if I can make it to £2000 they can have a slide so the challenge is on! The play area NEPT built last year at Lumo School has already transformed the attitude to learning and approach to attending school for both the children and teachers. It not only brightens up the landscape but offers a bit of respite and fun for the kids. They learn how to socialise with each other, taking turns and respecting their fellow students along with realising that they're just children and can have fun.
If you'd like to help me continue with my own self-improvement goals, or are willing to support NEPTanzania, please donate. Every little truly does help here and will get me through every exhausting mile. You can see the direct results of your donation on the NEPTanzania facebook page.
Thank you so much,
Vicky
