Story
Victoria Harrild-Jones (Torz) had her first hip replacement under the care of Mr Patrick A Gregson at 19 years old. She would go onto have a further 4 implants across both hips. Her surgeries are still used as training material for the next generation of Surgeons specialising in hip replacement.
The groundbreaking hip replacement surgery techniques and implants developed at the hospital allowed Torz to walk all her life where previously she had been told she would be in a wheelchair by 40.
Torz was so very grateful for all the care she received thanks to the tireless effort of surgeons, nurses and hospital support staff.
Her family and friends would like to show our appreciation for the ongoing efforts of the staff and volunteers at The Robert Jones And Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic And District Hospital in memory of Victoria who sadly passed away in December.
