Story

FIGHTING TESTICULAR & PROSTATE CANCER

February 2011: My 26 year old brother Nick is undergoing his 3rd cycle of chemotherapy, in his fight against testicular cancer. He remains positive and is responding well to treatment as a day patient at the Carlingford Unit at Southend General Hospital. We are overwhelmed at the generosity of all our friends and family in helping us to raise this fabulous sum of money.

My boyfriend James Luckett and two friends from Southampton University, Tim Rogers and Joe Hothersall are running the Reading Half Marathon in aid of "Everyman" Charity in March 2011.

My Dad, brother Chris and their football friends have sponsored their season ticket seats at Chelsea Football Club until the end of the season. Donations have been received from football fans who we have never met!

This illness has no club loyalty..it affects every football and non football fan!

Everyman's mission is to stamp out testicular and prostate cancer. We can achieve this by making everyone recognise the tell-tale signs, and understand the importance of treating them. By increasing this awareness we also hope to raise money to fund life-saving research.

The Farley Family would be extremely grateful for any donations as we can all make a big difference to such a worthwhile cause.

Thank you so much.

Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.
