I ran the Marrakech Marathon on the 26th January 2014 - I've just returned from the trip! Whilst in Marrakech I visited a SPANA clinic and saw first-hand the fantastic service that they provide for the working horses, donkeys and mules of the city.

Last year, I spent a week in Ethiopia working with veterinary professionals and lecturers and could appreciate just how well SPANA plans its various projects to have wide-reaching and long-lasting effects.  

I can't think of a better charity to have run my first marathon for! 

I chose the Marrakech Marathon, since this is the part of the world that inspired the women who founded SPANA 90 years ago.
