This page is set up in the memory of Sarah Carney. It is an easy way to donate directly to AMMF - the UK's only cholangiocarcinoma charity.
Sarah was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in January 2014 and lost her fight in March 2015. She was 39 years old and a fighter with a strong will who fought formidably and with pride. She leaves two young daughters (Summer 9, Keely 7) who were proud to have such a fun loving and caring Mum. Sarah was always supporting others with cancer during her fight and was so desperate to help support the work of AMMF. This wave of fundraising in her honour will help with the ongoing battle with cholangiocarcinoma and hopefully prevent others in the future suffering the same tragic fate.
As her little Sister I feel it is my duty to continue inspiring people as Sarah did. Inspired by the number 39 I am going to complete 39 events. The events will range from 5k to half marathons....hopefully finishing with the London Marathon in 2017. I've always wanted to run London and Sarah knew what it meant to me to do this, so I'm hoping this will be the perfect finish.

AMMF is the UK's only cholangiocarcinoma charity. Our main aims are to raise the awareness of cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), to provide information, and to support specialised research teams in their work to find the causes, methods of earlier diagnosis and treatments for this disease.
