Story

Dear Friends,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Just recently I was invited to share a Shabbat meal with the family and friends of a local Rabbi. Afterwards the conversation naturally turned to a discussion of how to resolve conflict by peaceful means. As I reflected on this challenge I realised two things 1) world peace is possible if each individual finds peace within themselves 2) we need a miracle!

A few days later I discovered the wonderful miracle of Neve Shalom/Wahat-Salam (meaning Oasis of Peace), a cooperative village near Tel Aviv jointly founded by Israeli Arabs and Jews to show how people can live and in peace and undertake educational work for peace, equality and understanding. This inspired me so much that I decided to join the British Friends of Oasis of Peace in raising funds to support this work and invite you to do the same. Please take a look at their website: http://oasisofpeaceuk.org/ - I'm sure you will agree it is a very worthy cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure and your details will never be passed on. Whatever you donate is sent directly to the charity and Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. It really is an excellent way to donate, so please help support this wonderful peace initiative.

Shalom & Salam,

Victor
