Story
Thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
As some of you may know my Aunty, Charlotte Fleischmann, passed away this year after a short battle with a brain tumour. She was an amazing woman who was the life and soul of the party and always the centre of attention. She always had a smile on her face, memorably so at her wedding shortly after her diagnosis. The diagnosis of a brain tumour changed hers and our lives so quickly without any warning.
My grandfather, Professor Martin Fleischmann, also recently passed away after a long battle with Parkinsons disease, he was a huge inspiration in my llife and such a clever clever man whose life was cut short due to a neurological disease. Seeing his life deteriorate made me see how much research needs to be done to prevent this happening to others.
In memory of Charlotte and Martin I am digging out my trainers and running the London Marathon 2013 to raise money towards the Brain Research Trust UK, a charity who fund research into all neurological conditions. They receive no government funding and rely completely on fundraising to fund life saving research which could prevent others and their families from the un imaginable diagnosis of a neurological conditions like a brain tumour and Parkinsons disease.
