Story
Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
I took a challenge again to walk 20miles (32km) for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres, on 16th September.
Maggie’s Centres are for anyone affected by cancer. They are places where people are welcome whenever they need them – from just being diagnosed, or undergoing treatment, to post-treatment, recurrence, end of life or in bereavement.
Maggie's unique model of psychosocial support transforms the way that people live with cancer. They want everyone in the UK who is affected by cancer to have access to thei high quality, evidence based psychological, emotional and informational support.
They are working to create a network of cancer caring centres across the UK to deliver their community based cancer support programme.
Last year Night Hikers raised over £700,000 which is enough to fund two Maggie’s Centres for a year – please help to smash that and beyond so we can help many more people affected by cancer.
Your donation can be as little as £1, every penny counts.
I'm also inviting you to take part in the Fundraising Music Pub Quiz that I will organize with my colleague Michelle on the 8th September (poster is attached).
Many many thanks,
Vera
