Story
Hi,
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our fundraising page... Please read on to find out more.
We are running the Jurassic Coast Challenge in March 2010. That's 3 marathons in 3 days, along the hilly coast path in Dorset, starting in Lyme Regis, and finishing at least 78 miles away!
We have just run the Bath Half marathon, in preparation for the big event!
We have decided to support two local charities, both based at the hospital where Sophie works. These are the Precious Drops Campaign and the Dreams and Wishes Fund.
The Precious Drops Campaign is providing funding for the Bristol Milk Bank. This will be based at Southmead’s Maternity Unit and will supply donor breast milk to babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units at Southmead and St Michael’s in Bristol (run by United Bristol Healthcare Trust).
The Dreams and Wishes Fund exists to provide funding for terminally ill adult patients at North Bristol NHS Trust and is specifically used to fund patients 'dreams and wishes'.
To find out more, please visit http://www.nbt.nhs.uk/aboutus/charitablefunds/Projects2009.htm We think these are two incredibly important charities, and would like to raise as much money as possible to help them.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Please sponsor us if you can.
Chris & Sophie
