OPAL is an African LGBTI organisation that supports LGBTI asylum seekers and refugees in the UK through proving a safe space, peer support, therapeutic and social inclusion. This is an emergency appeal made to raise fund in a concerted effort to help the isolated and vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers during the COVID19 pandemic. Opal is an African LGBTI organisation that supports LGBT asylum seekers and refugees in the UK. Many of our members are destitute and in dire need, facing financial challenges that render them helpless. And, for some of them, their circumstances are compounded by poverty and homelessness, as well as poor physical and mental health, creating an aggravating situation that has made them hostage, especially in the face of the pandemic.
