Walk In Her Shoes 2017 · 8 May 2017 to 14 May 2017 ·

Across the globe, 1 in 10 households lack access to clean water. Take up the Walk In Her Shoes challenge, pledge to walk 5 miles a day for a week and raise funds to help CARE improve access to water.

Story

Instead of going to school, 4 year old Ayana walks miles every day to collect water. No school means no education – no opportunity to learn to read, write, have a better future.
Born in a developing country, I know what it is like to be poor, to have limited opportunities. Education was a way out. It broke the perpetual cycle of poverty and going nowhere.
It provided the foundation that continues to improve the quality of my life today.
So between 8-14 May, I will be walking 5+ miles each day, to help girls like Ayana and Celine to go to school.
Thank you in advance for your generous donation.
