Pancreatic Cancer Action doesn't receive government funding and relies solely on public donations in order to increase pancreatic cancer awareness by helping to educate and inform both the public and medical communities about the signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer.
Money raised will help more patients to be diagnosed in time for surgery - currently the only chance of surviving pancreatic cancer.
97% of cases of this particular cancer are found too late to operate, any funds raised will help change the pancreatic cancer survival rate that, unlike most other cancers, has not improved for more than 40 years, largely due to lack of funds and research.
