Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Whilst watching the 2010 Great North Run, Pete challenged me to mark my 50th birthday the following year by taking part. Places duly gained I then went and injured myself, leaving Pete to run on his own.
Never one to back out, I'm now going to run this September. I've decided to raise money for British Heart Foundation, following in the footsteps of my dear dad. For many years, in spite of a serious heart condition, he competed in marathons and half marathons all over the world, raising money for amongst others, BHF.
I'll never be able to run at his level but I'll give it a go and do my best! I know times are hard but all donations will be gratefully received and BHF will put the money to good use. I truly understand If you can't afford to donate but your best wishes and good luck messages will really help spur me on.
Thanks, Val x
