Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Kev suffered a SI in September 2016.  Initially we thought his injury wasn't too bad, however a series of awful events began to unfold which made us realise how serious his injury was.  The impact of the injury was going to completely change our lives forever as he was always going to have a fratcure of the T11 vertebrae as well as a damaged spinal cord neither of which could be stabilised and nothing was going to heal.  Unfortunately Kev died of a heart attack just over a year after his accident.

Our first proper contact with SIA was when Kev left hospital.  They were brilliant.  From helping sort out his meds each month and delivering everything to the house to having someone on the end of the phone when we needed help or just a chat.

I attended the Manchester 10K run last year as a spectator and was hoping to hand some money to anyone who was running for a SI charity but unfortunately I didn't see anyone.  So this year I'm going to fast walk the 10k and try and raise some money for this great charity.
