Story

I'm so excited to announce I'm running in the Virtual London 2020 Marathon on the 4th October for the Alzheimer’s Society!!

Alzheimer’s is a neurodegenerative disease of the brain that usually starts slowly and gradually worsens over time causing impairment in memory and cognitive function. It is the most common type of dementia. Alzheimer’s Society is a charity which works to challenge perceptions, fund vital research and improve care and support for people living with dementia. Living with dementia at any time brings everyday challenges for the person and those around them. Coronavirus is making daily life much harder and my Grandad is one of the many effected. Right now, support is more important than ever, donations can help the Alzheimer’s Society increase telephone and digital services so they can offer a lifeline to isolated people with dementia through the current crisis. Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. So please donate to this amazing cause; it would be hugely appreciated (perhaps the amount you’d spend in a coffee shop, pub or a restaurant since no one is going to one anytime soon) it could help support those most in need xx

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
