So I'm actually going to jump out a plane at 10,000 ft for Kidney Research UK charity! 

I was probably age 11/12 when my dad announced that he was going to be going into hospital 3 days a week until he got a new kidney as his weren't working. He would be hooked up to a dialysis machine for hours which meant that 2 needles were inserted into his arm with a tube attached where the blood is able to pass along into the machine so that it can be filtered before it passes back into the arm. It also meant that he was able to religiously watch The Eagles Farewell Tour DVD for hours on end hahah! This was his life for 2/3 years. 

Unfortunately his kidneys did not get any better and needed a kidney transplant. After trying to find a suitable donor, my dad was unable to make it and his insides gave up on him which resulted in a heart attack! If it wasn't for these machines then who knows what would have happened!! 

I'm sharing this story as I am taking part and raising money for this charity so that they are able to raise more awareness and fight against kidney disease!!
