I’m off to Borneo in March 2012! J

 

I have signed up to take part in an expedition with Raleigh International (a youth and sustainable development charity) in conjunction with the Junior Lawyers Division and with support from Maitland Walker LLP. 

The expedition: 9 Junior Lawyers and I will be setting off to Borneo for 3 weeks to build a gravity-fed water system to provide a fresh, reliable, and sustainable water supply to an underprivileged rural community in one of the most under developed and poorest areas of Borneo.

We will work with local experts to provide villagers with the gift of clean drinking water, which so many of us take for granted. 

Fundraising: My fundraising target is £2,750 and if I reach this, I can go! With the help of anyone who would like to get involved, I will be organising fundraising events between now and the end of February.

I am taking on an invaluable personal challenge, one that will be incredibly demanding, but ultimately rewarding, and I am looking forward to every step of the journey!
