Story

In fragile states like South Sudan half the population lives in displacement camps. Due to Covid-19 there is hunger, misinformation, mistrust and a risk of increased violence.

Rights for Peace works with youth leaders like Mabior, who lives in Adjumani refugee camp in Northern Uganda. Food there has been reduced to less than 1 meal per day. There is widespread misinformation about Covid-19 with little knowledge about hand washing and how the virus spreads.

We are doing all we can to provide awareness raising in camps, countering misinformation and tensions. We need your support at this time.
