AsSalamu Alaykum everyone x

This Ramadan I was blessed with a trip from Allah to visit the Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon and have the honour of meeting so many of our beautiful brothers and sisters. It was the most humbling experience and to be able to see first hand where your donations were going .. i can’t even explain it. Our brothers and sisters need our help. The work does not stop here. I’ve come back home to my house my family and food on the table, they are still there with nothing .. waiting for the next donations to bring them their next meal. InshAllah a group of us are planning to help and aid even more of our brothers and sisters in Jordan where we will be visiting even more Syrian refugee camps next year. 

When donating I want to you to look at the stories we’ve posted the smiles we’ve shared and remember it’s so much more than a donation. You’re providing security to a mother who doesn’t know the next time she will be able to feed her children. You’re providing comfort. You’re proving HOPE to every child mother and father. You’re feeding a child who cries because he hasn’t seen food like this before. You’re allowing volunteers like ourselves to physically go and see these children and bring joy and happiness to their faces.

The Syrian conflict has been going on for nearly a decade: Over 2.3 million people have left Syria and over half of these are children. Many of these refugees have sought refuge in Lebanon and Jordan but they are living in tents struggling with lack of food, water, clothes and money - so many of them rely solely on aid. HRF partnered with the WFP provides food to over 80,000 Syrian refugees. The money that we can raise together will be put into development projects such as healthcare, education, food projects and more. It’s with your dedication and your support that we will be able to help make a real difference  to our brothers and sisters who have been oppressed for so long.
