UniTrust-Scott Gough's Scotland Coast to Coast

Scotland Coast to Coast · 14 September 2013
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Why have I decided to fundraise?
Those that know me will be shocked to read that the idea for running this race was first floated at the pub! A good friend asked me if I would be interested and persuaded me that it would be a good idea and it all snowballed from there!
- What am I doing to raise money?
Going through the pain barrier that’s what!
The event will take place on the weekend of the 13-15 September 2013 and I have been training hard on the road and in the gym. I will be running, cycling and kayaking over 105 miles of rugged terrain from the North Sea to Scotland's West Coast.
- Why am I supporting my chosen charity?
Whether or not you agree with the political or moral justification for our troops being involved in various conflicts around the globe there is no getting away from the sacrifice they make, risking life and limb on almost every deployment to hostile territory.
Being an ex-serviceman and having experienced the demand placed on serving personnel to not only be physically tough but also mentally tough I thought Combat Stress was the ideal cause. This is not only about raising money for Combat Stress but also raising awareness of the fantastic work they do for our service personnel.
- What does your support mean to me?
By donating on my page you are donating to a worthy cause that does not get the mainstream recognition or support it deserves. This will also help motivate me to cross the finish line and onto the after party, the real reason I’m entering J
So please dig deep and donate now.
