Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2018 I will be taking on Multiple Ultra Challenges starting on the Isle of Wight on the 5th May 2018 where I will walk around the island in two days (106km). If that's not challenge enough then camping overnight certainly will be. Anyone that knows me will know I don't do camping so to sleep in a little pop up tent with a ground mat, sleeping bag, pillow and a torch will be daunting!
I am sure by the end of all 7 events I will have mastered camping, well maybe!
The rest of the events I have registered for and will be completing are listed below, and I will update my page with my progress as I go along:
London 2 Brighton - 26th May - 100km
Cotswold Way - 30th June - 100km
Jurassic Coast - 21st July - 100km
Wye Valley - 11th Aug - 100km
South Coast - 25th Aug - 100km
Thames Path - 8th Sept - 100km
For those that don't know I lost my Mum very unexpectedly in May 2008. She had been suffering back pain for a long time and was due to have a scan but suddenly took ill in April 2008 and was taken into hospital where she was diagnosed as having a Pulmonary Embolism. Not long after returning home she was re-admitted back into hospital where she was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer and Secondary Liver Cancer. We had no idea, and from her first going into hospital to her sadly passing away on the 15th May 2008 was only a matter of a few weeks. To say we were devastated was an understatement. Mum had just finished her Podiatry Qualifications and intended to start her own business, she had also hoped to move down to Wiltshire one day with my dad.
Bowel Cancer UK are the UK's leading bowel cancer research charity. They are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life for all those affected by bowel cancer therefore I have decided to raise money to help with the work they do.
